Due to an increase in workload we have a new vacancy in our Patient Support Team:
RECEPTIONIST/CALL HANDLER – 12 Month, Fixed Term (with the possibility of permanent), – 16-20 Hours per week, Must be flexible to work between Monday-Friday (3-4 days a week on a rota basis) between the hours of 7.45am and 7pm, with occasioanl Saturday mornings.
Your main duties will include: dealing with patients both face to face (reception) and over the phone (call handling) and other healthcare professionals along with associated administrative duties such as: Filing, Scanning, Photocopying and Data Input. To assist in the organisation of the practice workload, to act as first point of contact for patients, relatives, carers and other outside agencies. To support the work of our vaccination team both in the practice and at our vaccination centre.
****Please note: Flexibility to work between the core hours of 7.45am – 7:00 pm Monday-Friday and some Saturday mornings on a rota basis is a requirement of this role.
It is essential that applicants possess excellent IT, organisational skills and previous customer facing experience in a reception/office based role
Applicants with previous experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of EMIS will be given preference.
