Vasectomy Service

We operate a service where any man can either refer himself or get his GP to refer him for a No-Scalpel Vasectomy. This is a simple procedure undertaken in a local hospital clinic with an excellent success rate.

The Lakes Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG)

As of March 2011 the practices patient participation group was officially one year old. A committed hard core of patients has been meeting monthly to discuss the services provided by the practice, local and national changes within the health service, organising educational events for patients, and of late the terrible parking situation at the health centre!

The meetings are open to all patients and the group meets on a Monday evening usually towards the end of the month. The last meeting in May  saw elections for the executive positions of chairperson, secretary and treasurer. For more details of the past years meetings you may want to check out the minutes posted on the practices  website.

We are currently looking at a further educational event in late summer: Asthma in children. Look out for details of speakers, activities, date and venue once organised!

The next few meetings will be held at 7pm on Monday 24 October and Monday 28 November 2011. Come along to discuss ideas, suggestions, criticisms, or if you just want free coffee and biscuits!
